In tonight's edition, I cover the astrology of Venus conjunct Nessus and Mars conjunct Chiron. I introduced this in Monday's Astrology Diary (free OR paid registration required to read that article). In tonight's extended program, I expand the conversation to include specifically sexual themes of bisexuality and selfsexuality. This is not a discussion you're likely to hear many places -- my perception is that actual bisexuality is left out of the queer discussion, at least most places that discussion happens. However, "gender queer" and "trans" have to a large extent entered that vacuum, and now bisexuality can exist on the fringes of that territory.

In tonight's edition, I look at Mercury retrograde from a number of different angles. I tell some stories from the final days of producing Cosmophilia, including how we experienced the Mercury retrograde effect. Then in the second part of the program, Daniel Sternstein and I consider what happened in Paris just two weeks ago, and note the differences in how it appeared from Israel and how it appeared from the United States. In tonight's edition, I look at the Charlie Hebdo massacre from several different angles -- why it is that we're confronted by tragedies like this over and over; the real state of "free speech" in France; the absurd hypocrisy of leaders from across Europe posing for a photo supporting free speech (while most of them prosecute journalists); and the astrology of the incident and what it says to me. At the top of the program I give an overview of the current astrology including the Sun's last days in Capricorn; Mars in Pisces and Mars conjunct Neptune; the Sun ingressing Aquarius, the Aquarius New Moon and Mercury retrograde in Aquarius. Did I say Aquarius? I think I did! My musical guest is bluegrass supergroup Old and In the Way.
