Tchiya Amet is a survivor in the true sense of the word. For the past 35 years, she has survived. She has done her best to live, to grow, to participate in the world, to love, and to make art and music. It has not been easy. In 1984, while she was a student at UT Austin, she said she was drugged and raped by Neil deGrasse Tyson, derailing her intentions of becoming an astronaut. National Geographic and Fox have conducted an investigation, but will not release the results. In an extended interview tonight, she tells the Planet Waves FM audience what she told the television networks' professional investigators.
