In tonight’s edition of Planet Waves FM, I cover both the Aquarius Full Moon (exact Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 9:44 pm EDT) and the elusive theme of the Age of Aquarius. I do so with some help from the book Esoteric Astrology; I’ve provided a few quotes from that book below, selected by Laurie Burnett. Our musical guest is the phenomenal Treetop Flyers, some boys out of England that I met at Backstage Studio Productions in Kingston. In the program I mention an article called You Are Who You Are, a Planet Waves member-area favorite that covers the precession of the equinoxes and the difference between the two zodiacs.

You can find a direct link to the MP3 of the program on this URL. Here is your program in the Old Player. Note, will also be able to download a compressed file of the program on the Old Player page, which also includes a full archive of Planet Waves FM going back to 2010.

It will be apparent to you that a whole new field of study will open before the astrologers of the New Age and fresh light on this greatest of all sciences will be available.

pg. 485

Aquarius is affecting the world disciples and initiates, leading them to world service on a large scale, producing group activity and that living usefulness which is the hall-mark of the pledged disciple.

In the Aquarian Age, the power of the planet Venus becomes a dominant factor in the last decanate.

In the Aquarian Age, Venus will again have an analogous influence only with this difference that the emergence into manifestation of an increased indvidualism and self-conscious realization will be subordinate to the appearance of the first stages of an expanded consciousness throughout all mankind-the consciousness of group responsibility. It will be better expressed as a form of group individualism.

Pg. 146

We come now to a very interesting point in connection with Aquarius. There is apparently no planet which is either exalted or “falls” in this sign.
No planet is exalted in Aquarius and no planet falls in this sign because the true Aquarian after due experience upon the Mutable Crosse and the Fixed Cross…..has reached a point of balance.

pg. 68

Jupiter is the esoteric ruler of Aquarius.

pg. 141 and 142

Aquarius is preeminently a sign of constant movement, of changing activity and recurrent mutations, and the symbol for this sign is expressive of this state of activity.

The bulk, however, of world initiates climax their experience in Aquarius and become liberated world servers. They turn their backs upon further progress for themselves in this cycle and on all satisfaction of their own spiritual aspiration and become carriers of the water of life to humanity….

Aquarians can experience the depths of depression and of self-depreciation or he can know and pass thru the exaltation of the soul and the sense of spiritual power which soul control gives, and know them to be the interplay and the action and reaction which are necessary for growth and comprehension.

Pg. 303

The universal consciousness of Aquarius becomes expressive just in so far as the individual etheric body is in conscious relation with the etheric body of humanity, the solar system and of course the planet.
