Backstage Uptown: The Interview

In this special edition of Planet Waves FM, I introduce the guys who have created Backstage Studio Productions into a first-class musical venue in Uptown Kingston, NY. I introduced them in last Friday's edition in an article called Backstage: Uptown Kingston, NY (which you can access at that link). Each Wednesday evening we'll be hosting a podcast by Mike Amari at BSP who will introduce that weekend's music. Even if you're not local you'll benefit from this podcast -- you'll be introduced to the music and we'll provide links to the artists' webpages. Today's edition includes music by the rock string quartet Darlingside and Gary Lucas.

Proposed Syria Attack, Virgo New Moon & Mars square Saturn

Will we got to war with Syria? Why are we asking this kind of question again? Yes, we're being invited once more to endorse the state of perpetual war. I do my best to untangle this overwhelming situation. Mars is the leading planet, as you might expect. Along the way is the Virgo New Moon, exact Thursday morning EDT, bubbling with tension, passion and the sense of something about to happen. My musical guest today is Graveyard Lovers from New York City, with two songs from their new CD "Dreamers."

I Have A Dream, Syria War and Miss Miley Cyrus

In tonight's special extended edition of Planet Waves FM, I play the full recording of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and do the astrology of the speech and of Dr. King. I also look at the chart for the rumor of war with Syria, and I do the chart of the woman of the hour, Miley Cyrus. Our musical guest is the Boston-based rock string quartet Darlingside, who I met at Backstage Studio Productions (BSP) in Kingston, NY. Note -- Friday's member edition of Planet Waves will focus on BSP, and I'll soon have a special edition podcast about the place.

Aquarius Full Moon – Age of Aquarius

In tonight's edition of Planet Waves FM, I cover both the Aquarius Full Moon (exact Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 9:44 pm EDT) and the elusive theme of the Age of Aquarius. I do so with some help from the book Esoteric Astrology; I've provided a few quotes from that book, selected by Laurie Burnett (click on title above to get those). Our musical guest is the phenomenal Treetop Flyers, some boys out of England that I met at Backstage Studio Productions in Kingston. In the program I mention an article called You Are Who You Are, a Planet Waves member-area favorite that covers the precession of the equinoxes and the difference between the two zodiacs.
